Each week, you will complete a reading reflection journal. To complete this journal, you will need to review ALL of the daily jots you have collected through the week. Read your jots and think about how your thinking about your book has changed since you wrote them.

What did you used to think?

What has changed about your thinking?

What new information have you learned?

How did that new information influence or alter your thinking?

Use this idea to guide your reflection writing:

I used to think blah blah blah because blah blah blah,

but now I think yada yada yada because yada yada yada.

Be sure you include SPECIFIC DETAILS from the text and from your schema to support your new ideas. Include PAGE NUMBERS and be VERY DESCRIPTIVE when explaining the text information that supports your thoughts.

I used to think that Opal was lonely and with no friends because she left all her friends at her old school so she lives in a trailer-park now but the only friend she has is a abandoned dog that she found at a store named Winn-Dixie, so Opal decided to name the new, boy, dog, Winn-Dixie. I also used to think that Opal was going to have NO friends and just wanted a normal dog to have just to have fun with Winn-Dixie. But now I think that Opals NOT lonely because she made groan-up friends which were first strangers to Opal, and I don't even make a lot of groan-up strangers as friends SO I think that Opals pretty brave for a girl to have stranger groan-up friends, also I think she has not only human friends but a DOG friend Winn-Dixie.
